Merry Christmas, everyone! Today marks the beginning of the 12 days of Christmas, a traditional stretch of time leading up to the Feast of the Epiphany. Though many individuals today do not celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, they were originally intended to allow Christians to reflect on the meaning of the Incarnation and the birth of Jesus in their lives. To mark this countdown, the Talon will present a series of images of old Christmas edition newspapers from the Minnehaha Archive, starting with 2014 and ending with 1928.

Pictured below, the first clipping in our MA Archive countdown comes from the December 18, 2014 edition of the Talon. Describing affordable and unique gifts that students can purchase for family and friends, this clip features a student drawn Christmas tree cartoon.

Stay tuned for more clippings from the Minnehaha Archive celebrating the 12 days of Christmas.
